Spain’s First Family Or Addams Family?

Posted on 29 September 2009 by Adam Best

A recent photo opportunity for Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero has turned into a nightmare. Zapatero and his family recently took a photo with President Obama and the First Lady during their trip to the U.S.. Apparently, Zapatero thought that this picture would only be for the personal use of both families. That is not the case, as the U.S. State Department uploads official photos to its Flickr page.

Why is this a nightmare for the Zapateros? Because his two underage daughters — who have intentionally been kept out of the public eye — have been on the receiving end of the “goth” label ever since the snapshot surfaced. Here’s the photo.

Fortunately for the Zapateros, the White House did manage to do at least some photoshopping before they released the picture. Unfortunately for the Zapateros, several good men lost their lives in order to deliver the original, undoctored photo to us.

Looking sharp, Lurch! Man, can the U.S. State Department get down on Photoshop or what?

(Hat tip to reader relationz77 for sending in the Photoshop!)
