Rapper Common Disses Browns QB Brady Quinn — In Person

Rapper Common has battled Ice Cube on the mic. He’s fought a reggae band in court over his moniker. He’s shot it out with James McAvoy in Wanted. His latest opponent?

Brady Quinn? Yep, Brady Quinn.

During a performance at Cleveland’s House of Blues Thursday night, Common dissed Quinn during a freestyle. He rapped that he “won’t mess up like Brady Quinn,” and then mentioned Derek Anderson in the next verse. After the audience reacted to the diss, it was noticed that Quinn was actually in the house along with several teammates. Ouch.

Quinn has long been blogger fodder, but now he’s rapper fodder, too? Pretty soon Leno and Letterman will be lighting him up. Even Perez Hilton will be clowning him. At least Quinn apparently rolled with the punches at the show. He’s going to need to continue to have thick skin playing for the Browns, the top candidate to replace the Lions as this year’s league laughingstock.
