and this is America where we have freedom of speech! I am disgusted with how they are treating this man for just a few words on a web page. This is disgusting to me. If KC really fires this man for a few words I seriously will hope they never win a game ever again. People have a right to be themselves so long as they are not infringing on other people’s rights- and if Larry has issues with the coach then he has a right to kid about them- or bring them up. Screw all you PC junkies out there- you all bring this up to to bring other people down to make yourselves feel more powerful. MAN people are blowing this way out of proportion. Look at the Movie Bruno which goes ways further to mock homosexuality then some football player mumbling the word faggot under his breath. What a total over reaction. And what he said about his coach was low class but it is not a reason to suspend him. I am not a black man either here playing the race card or some crap- I am saying honestly that I just think there are a lot of angry people that just want to make Larry pay for his team being crap this year- which is obviously not all his fault. I think the coach Haley should have enough class and humanity to accept his apology and get over this nothing of an incident. Words really dont mean much unless they reach a certain level of influence and quite frankly nothing Larry has said has had any far reaching implication. Imop anyone who really cares about, or feels insulted or assaulted by what Larry has said is a BIG BABY. This is a guy who played great a few years back when Dick Vermeal took that team to the playoffs. I don’t remember Dick having any problems with Larry either- correct me if I am wrong. Haley is a tough coach with a temper and tends to take things too seriously any way. That is good thing to a point- but it means he is also capable of overreaction. That is what all of this is, a total overreaction. Ridiculous.

What does playing have to do with coaching? Do you have to be a former player to recognize and bad/lazy tackle? I think it’s a great thing, just because you didn’t hit the genetic lottery doesn’t mean you can’t coach, I hope to see more of this in the years to come. Woking his way up like most coaches do as a scout to a low level assistant all the way up to head coach, his dad’s name didn’t carry him all that way he did it on his own because he’s good at it. To me it’s a lot like claiming an engineer can’t design a building because he was never a construction worker, how are those guys going to respect him without that hands-on knowledge?

LJ may be a tool but he has a point. Todd Haley never played college football and it’s questionable if he even played high school football. Todd Haley’s father was accomplished in football which likely allowed Todd to climb the ranks of the NFL.

These people are, or used to be, idols and role models for young kids who grow up watching sports. They don’t need poison pills like this guy in the league who feel they are better than everyone else. It is, after all, a game.
