“In the jungle, the mighty jungle, Nike sleeps tonight…”

And they are sleeping well. Why? Because their top two non-Tiger superstars are back in the ongoing MVPuppets series, holding down the Phil Knight fort while Tiger Woods’ marketability takes a huge hit. That’s right; Puppet Kobe Bryant and Puppet LeBron James are back to arguing about who’s better. In their latest commercial, KB24 and King James argue about whether a black mamba or lion would prevail if they crossed paths in the jungle. Hey, if you can’t roll with a Tiger, the world’s deadliest snake and an equally deadly big cat are the next best things, right?

LeBron has definitely been a beast this season, as Joakim Noah found out last night. Meanwhile,  D-Wade will testify that Kobe’s venom has never been more deadly. It’s impossible to say which one of these two hardwood deities is better, so let’s just sit back and enjoy the comedy of their puppets debating the impossible debate. Let’s also hope that they finally meet in the jungle that is the NBA Finals.
