Jon Fitch vs. Thiago Alves in the Works for UFC 111

Written by Josh Sanchez | December 30, 2009 | Comments Off | Cage Pages (MMA)

Jon Fitch may not be the flashiest fighter in mixed martial arts, however, he is one of the best and perhaps the most immediate threat to champion Georges St. Pierre’s thrown. GSP is set to defend his title at UFC 111 in Newark, New Jersey and Fitch may also be on that card.
MMAMania.com reports:
UFC welterweight [...]

A Trip Down (Recent) Memory Lane

Written by David | December 30, 2009 | Comments Off | NFL, Stripe Hype (Bengals)

With the Cincinnati Bengals having clinched the AFC North crown for the second time in five years, I think it’s time to head off to Costco to buy a case of Sugar Frosted Crow Crispies and a dozen gallons of milk for all the “experts” who assured us that this outcome was absolutely impossible.
Why was [...]

Mini-Blueprint: Mike Leach For Offensive Coordinator

Written by Arrowhead Addict | A Kansas City Chiefs blog | December 30, 2009 | Comments Off | Arrowhead Addict (Chiefs)

As noted earlier, I’ll still be chiming in every now and then offering my thoughts on the Chiefs. So, I wanted to stop by and offer up a thought I had on the offensive coordinator situation. Let’s call this a Mini-Blueprint.
Here’s what I’m thinking:

Our #4 and #3 seasons are actually tied in terms of WAR, so I won’t quibble about the order. I did want to talk specifically about one of my favorite players of all time (oddly enough), former Marlin left fielder Cliff Floyd. He logs in tied for #3 on our list best Marlins seasons this [...]

Schremp gives the Isles a Cocktail finish

Written by Gary Harding | December 30, 2009 | Comments Off | Eyes on Isles (Islanders)

He has suck great stick handling skills – just like a certain player that was an Islander that also came from the Syracuse area.
Just a great move to finish a ho-hum game.  But it is two points that they really need.
Rollie was OUTSTANDING!  I like how Bailey is playing, but not getting rewarded.  Okie is [...]

Taking advantage of a chance to Shine – Stars 5, B’Hawks 4

Written by Austin W | December 30, 2009 | Comments Off | Blackout Dallas (Stars)

Stars Win!!!

Dallas had to be proud of this one. Before the game I just had a feeling that Dallas would show up, but end up losing it either in OT or in the shootout. But the Dallas Stars played up to the Chicago Blackhawks to pick up another home win, this one going back and [...]
