Mike Woodson wants you…………..

Surprise! Mike Woodson wants you to attend Hawks games and actually cheer for the home team. You know what? He is right. Atlanta fans should embrace this team during the regular season and not just in the playoffs.
Per a Michael Cunningham article on AJC.com :
“It shouldn’t be that way,” “There [are] enough people in [...]
Flip Murray’s Insane Half Court Hook Shot
Written by zoner | March 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Pippen Ain't Easy (Bulls)
Flip Murray has been fun to watch since he became a Bull. I think he has a high basketball IQ and I would love to see him remain on the Bulls going into next year. This shot has nothing to do with that, but it’s pretty darn spectacular. Check it:

Sox Sign Cuban Outfielder
Written by Brian Phair | March 31, 2010 | Comments Off | BoSox Injection (Red Sox)
The Red Sox are on the verge of signing another Cuban defector, Jorge Padron. Padron is a 22-year old outfielder who is known to be a strong contact hitter, but with limited power at this point in his career. Hitting from the left side of the plate, Padron could be a top tier prospect after [...]
Morning Tracks: Nate’s Farewell, Notes on Oliver, Turner, and Kelly
Written by John Parent | March 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Motor City Bengals (Tigers)
Now almost 24 hours since the trade that sent Nate Robertson to the Marlins, the Tigersphere is still all a flutter. After giving it some more thought, my reaction hasn’t changed much. I understand the deal, I don’t necessarily love it, but I can see that it was probably the best deal the Tigers could make. Moving [...]
Marty Hurney is ‘Doing an Outstanding Job’
Written by Eric Quackenbush | March 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Cat Crave (Panthers)
Before you crucify me, let me first say that those aren’t the words I would have chosen. Okay, maybe I would have, but I would have taken out the “outstanding” and put in “nice” or something that doesn’t give the guy a swollen head. The statement is otherwise accurate though, at least when looking at [...]

Eric Berry Was In Kansas City Yesterday
Written by Patrick Allen | March 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Arrowhead Addict (Chiefs)
Steve Wyche of NFL.com is reporting that Eric Berry was in Kansas City yesterday meeting with the Chiefs. See? Even on quiet days like yesterday, the machine is moving at Arrowhead. From Wyche:
Tennessee safety Eric Berry, considered the top defensive back in next month’s NFL draft, has scheduled formal visits with the Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a source with knowledge of the situation said Tuesday.
A source told NFL.com’s Frank Tadych that Berry also will visit with the Cleveland Browns on April 7. According to Tadych’s source, Berry visited with the Chiefs on Tuesday, [...]
Bucks Clinch…. .500 or Better Season
Written by Justin Malaise | March 31, 2010 | Comments Off | We're Bucked (Bucks)
With Milwaukee’s relatively easy victory last night over the Los Angeles Clippers, the Bucks are now at 41 wins, clinching a season no worse than .500. The fact that there are still nine games left to increase that win total to a possible, albeit unlikely, 50 win season proves how incredible this season has already been.
In [...]
The Morning Fix
Written by Patrick Allen | March 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Arrowhead Addict (Chiefs)
Gotcha!
The current rumors about the future employer of QB Donovan McNabb remained just that after the close of business in the NFL on Tuesday.
Over the last week, just about every team in the league with the exception of the Chiefs has been linked to a trade for the Philadelphia quarterback. Don’t fall for any April Fool’s Day jokes on Thursday about McNabb heading for Arrowhead. But don’t be surprised if somebody reports it as fact.
I’m not quite sure there’s anything we can completely believe in this soap opera. It has not played out behind the NFL scenes, but in the [...]

Ernie Els Switching Caddies for the Masters…..Say What!?

Watching golf so far this season has been fun. I mean really fun. You might not feel that way unless you’re a huge Ernie Els fan. I am. That’s why it’s been great to see Els have a great start to the year by winning the last two tournaments, the WGC-CA Championship and the Arnold [...]
Cornell At Penn State Rumors
Written by blj1887 | March 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Victory Bell Rings (Penn State)
As if the rumors of a big BYU game weren’t enough, this just out of the a Cornell Blog that a game in Happy Valley against the Big Red is in the works/all but final. Although Cornell loses quite a lot of talent to graduation before next season, it is at least a well coached team with credibility and a name that people associate with winning basketball. The Big Red have had 3 straight 20 or more win seasons and that can go some ways when it comes to March, and in the very least, it isn’t another low mid-major team on the schedule. This very [...]
Henrik’s Eye for Art
Written by Larenzo | March 31, 2010 | Comments Off | The Canuck Way (Canucks)
With a convincing 4-1 win over the upstart Phoenix Coyotes, the Vancouver Canucks moved closer to accomplishing something they’ve never done before – having a major trophy winner.
However coveted the Art Ross trophy (player to amass the most points in NHL in one season) may be, one of the contenders is downplaying it’s importance. “I [...]
