Charity-minded callers are getting intercepted by a sex phone line because of a misprint on Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco’s namesake cereal boxes. The phone number is supposed to connect callers to Feed the Children, which benefits from sales of “Ochocinco’s”.
But because the box has the wrong toll-free prefix, they get a phone sex line with a seductive-sounding woman making risque suggestions and then asking the caller for a credit card number.
Ochocinco told Cincinnati station WCPO that the number was clearly a mistake and he’s sure that the maker will [...]

Hansbrough Optimistic for This Season
Written by Josh Dhani | September 30, 2010 | Comments Off | Always Miller Time (Pacers), NBA
Tyler Hansbrough has a lot to prove this season, as he is most likely to start at power forward this year for the Indiana Pacers since Troy Murphy was dealt to the New Jersey Nets in order for Indy to receive Darren Collison and James Posey.
The legend from North Carolina looks to show that he is NBA-worthy and looks to prove all the naysayers wrong.
Last season, he couldn’t, and he was only able to play 29 games that season. He was out for most of the year due to a severe ear infection.
Now he’s back and is ready to go [...]

Written by Josh Dhani | September 30, 2010 | Comments Off | Always Miller Time (Pacers), NBA
Mike Dunleavy has been working on his game a lot more than rehabbing his knee. He hasn’t played a full season since 2007.
“I’m ready,” Dunleavy told The Indianapolis Star. “I had a good summer. I don’t have any predictions or anything like that, but I’m ready to play.”
Dunleavy will start the first five games of the season due to Brandon Rush’s suspension. He will play at shooting guard. He looks to prove himself well.
“When I’m healthy, I’m pretty good,” Dunleavy told the paper. “That’s one of the advantages. The other thing is I’m pretty versatile. I can play [...]

Bears Are 3-0: Week 3 Observations of a Mad Scientist
Written by City | September 30, 2010 | Comments Off | Bear Goggles (Bears)
The difference between a “Mad” Scientist and a regular scientist is that a regular scientist uses the Scientific Method. A regular scientist uses control, structure and rational calculation to pre-determine an outcome. But, a “Mad” Scientist mixes combinations and stirs ingredients in un-measured quantities because he is looking for the “unexpected”.
The Bears offense was out of sync throughout almost the entire first half. It wasn’t until there was only 1:50 left that the offense seemed to gain some control of the game:
1) Defensive Pressure affects Cutler’s performance (sort of):
Sacked 3 times
Forced to scramble twice (but picked up a 15 yard [...]
Second Goalie Controversy of the Preseason
Written by Eugene Markman | September 30, 2010 | Comments Off | Broad Street Buzz (Flyers)
Good news everyone, the Flyers are already in mid-season form. Last year it took us a few months for goalies to start getting hurt. We got it down to such an exact science, that we managed to do it twice in the playoffs, and we still almost won the Stanley Cup. This brilliant maneuver confused opposing teams consistently. So now we know that Michael Leightonis out for a least a month with a bulging disc in his back. The question arises: Who will start in net for the Flyers now?
I’m sure most people assumed that Brian Boucher would automatically get the starting [...]

Redskins Round Table: Week 3
Written by Spence | September 30, 2010 | Comments Off | DC Pro Sports Report (Redskins)
The Redskins are 1-2 and riding a 2-game losing streak. If the first loss was heartbreaking, the second loss was depressing, pregnant with reminders of dismal performances in the very recent past. With questions swirling about Washington’s offense and defense right now, we thought it would be a good time to talk to some experts about what’s going on with the burgundy and gold.
