TALK ABOUT THE GAME IN OUR LIVE GAME THREAD
The Washington Redskins face the Detroit Lions today, one week before the Redskins bye week. If the Redskins come to play and win, they will head into the bye week at 5-3 and an all important 5-1 in the NFC!
This is our live quarter by quarter summary.
1st QUARTER REDSKINS 0 Lions 0
Redskins are forced to0 punt, a three and out. Awful first series. Detroit goes three and out on their first series. Redskins tripping and failing to block anyone leads to another Redskins punt. Hello. DeAngelo Hall makes his 5th interception [...]

Warriors are starting the season off the right foot. First, injuries have been limited, but Steph Curry has been listed day to day with a sprained ankle, re-injuring after the LA Clipper game. Second, the Warriors have started the season 2-0, the first winning streak in a long time. The Warriors beat the Clippers 109-91. A night after Monta Ellis scored a career high, Ellis finished the night with 15 points and 11 assists. Dorell Wright continues to help the Warriors and finished the night with 24 points. The night was all fun and games until Steph Curry re-sprained in [...]

The Vikings are 2-4 coming off a brutal loss to their biggest rivals. Their starting quarterback spent most of the week in a walking boot and only got to practice one day. Their previously dominating defensive line has become something of a question mark. And now they get to play the 5-1 New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. An old line occurs to me right now, something about no rest for the wicked. But that’s how it is in the NFL: just when you think things can’t get any harder, you have to go play the Patriots – with Brett [...]

When the NFL released the schedule of games back in April, not much about the home schedule for the Arizona Cardinals blew you away. Sure, Dallas would be here on Christmas Day, San Francisco on Monday Night Football in November. It also revealed a Halloween game at home against the Tampa Bay Bucs.
At the time, it seemed it would be a scary game in the sense that this game could keep a lot of fans at home and celebrating the big day. Tampa here on Halloween. At the time, it was one of the few excuses you could find on [...]

For the Jets, today’s inactives are: DT Jarron Gilbert, DT Marcus Dixon, LB Jamaal Westerman, DT Matt Kroul, OT Vlad Ducasse, TE Jeff Cumberland and RB Joe McKnight.
This means LB Josh Mauga, signed from the practice squad last week to replace LB Kenwin Cummings, is active for the first time.
The Packers’ list of inactives includes DE Ryan Pickett (ankle), a key starter. Presumably, Jarius Wynn will start again at left end. Look for the Jets to run a lot to the right side of their formation, behind RT Damien Woody and RG Brandon Moore.
The Packers’ inactives: RT Mark Tauscher, FB Dimitri [...]

Put down your jackets, cancel your plans, and break out the nachos; the Jets will be seen today by Cablevision members on Fox.
Cablevision and Fox parent company News Corp have reached a new deal over programming fees.
The agreement ends a two week blackout for more than three million subscribers.
News Corp pulled 12 channels including Fox 5 and My9 on October 16 over a fee dispute, leading Cablevision to run an ad blasting the move.
The dispute ended Saturday, just in time for the first pitch of Game 3 of the World Series.
Terms of the new deal have not been released.

Let’s disregard the fact that its just about time for our staff to work on the 2011 version of this list. Instead, let’s simply celebrate the wonder and excellence that is Wil Myers.

So, it is Sunday morning, and I’m usually sitting here around this time agonizing over my 4-3 Fantasy Football team lineup. I must say, I never thought I’d trade Ray Rice and Matt Ryan for Kyle Orton and Jahvid Best because my #1 QB (Tony Romo) is out for the year. Did I hit the panic button too early and trade based on a knee-jerk reaction, or should I have kept Rice and Ryan and picked up John Kitna from the Free Agent pool? Well, my QBs are now Orton and Kitna, with Romo on IR in case he comes [...]

The Pacers have played three games as they head into November, and they already have more wins than five NFL teams.
Indiana defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in their home opener on Saturday night, 99-86. It was the second win in a row for the Pacers.
For the third straight game, coach Jim O’Brien went with the same starting five, and really only used three players from the bench. T.J. Ford, Tyler Hansbrough, and Paul George all played significant minutes. Four of the five starters finished with double figures in scoring, and the fifth (Josh McRoberts) [...]

Danny Granger scored 22 points as the Indiana Pacers cruised to a 99-86 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pacers opened up the season nicely at home in Conseco Fieldhouse, already 1-0 at home. So far, I think they’ll do a lot better on the road, after only winning nine games last season in away games.
But today was home, and it was a special night for Pacers fans. This was a good win at home, now let’s see if Indiana can get 40 more of them at home! Darren Collison proved himself last night and showed that he is the [...]
