The Atlanta Hawks won their home opener over the Washington Wizards last night. This win runs their record to 3-0 and has a lot of Hawks fans excited. At the risk of sounding like a prude though, despite these wins, I hope Larry Drew spends the next two days looking at the film and realizing the mistakes he is making as a first year head coach that are going to end up costing this team down the road.
I touched on this after the 76ers game, but playing Mike Bibby, Jamal Crawford, and Joe Johnson heavy minutes at the same time [...]

Would You Pay-to-View These Cowboys?
Written by jdramirez | October 31, 2010 | Comments Off | The Landry Hat (Cowboys)
The Dallas Cowboys are on six nationally televised games this year (including the Thanksgiving game). That leaves 10 games which may or may not be aired on local television. Fans who live outside of Texas and paid the $300 for the NFL Sunday Ticket have no concerns about being able to watch the game; fans who go to their local bar (equipped with the Sunday Ticket) also have no concerns. As it turns out, the money they save by not purchasing the NFL Sunday ticket can be used to buy beer, wings, pizza, and nachos (nearly $30 per outing).

Cincinnati Bengals Q & A
Written by Patrik Nohe | October 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Phin Phanatic (Dolphins)
I had an opportunity to interview Nate Wilkinson, the lead blogger over at Stripe Hype, Fansided’s Cincinnati Bengals blog. He was gracious enough to answer a few of our questions about the Bengals and help us preview today’s match-up in Cincinnati.
1.) How safe is Carson Palmer’s job? I’ve read there are beginning to be rumblings about whether or not he’s a winner and he’s thrown some costly picks so far this year. Do Bengals fans still believe Palmer is an elite quarterback or is it time to start looking for a replacement?
Carson Palmer’s job is safe. He may not be [...]
Dolphins Burning Questions
Written by nate | October 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Stripe Hype (Bengals)
Here are five questions supplied by FanSided’s Dolphins Blog, Phin Phanatic, and my answers. I’m not too optimistic about today’s game, but I hope I’m wrong.

Carson Palmer’s job is safe. He may not be the same quarterback as he was before knee and elbow injuries, but he’s still pretty [...]
Chiefs vs. Bills: Trick Or Treat Prediction Thread
Written by Patrick Allen | October 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Arrowhead Addict (Chiefs), BuffaLowdown (Bills)
Happy Halloween and happy game day Addicts. Today the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium and Todd Haley’s team hopes the scariest thing they’ll have to deal with today is the putrid play of the Buffalo Bills.
No game can be considered easy in the NFL and the Buffalo Bills are desperate for a win. I liken today’s game t a zombie movie. Sure, one on one a zombie isn’t that dangerous. They’re decaying, they’re slow and they’re stupid but the are blood thirsty and will stop at nothing to devourer your brains.
The Buffalo Bills are [...]

Buccaneers-Cardinals Preview
Written by Patrik Nohe | October 31, 2010 | Comments Off | The Pewter Plank (Bucs)
Today is the day that the Buccaneers will face off against the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium in what Fox has dubbed “the other 4 o’clock game.” If you live in Tampa, you may actually get a chance to see this one as the Bucs are on the road and blackout restrictions will not be in place.
Can the Buccaneers back up the brash words of their head coach, Raheem Morris, who professed to have the best team in the NFC earlier this week? The next two weekends these Bucs will travel to Arizona and Atlanta, if they can [...]

The Jameson Taillon Website Mystery
Written by Tom Smith | October 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Rum Bunter (Pirates)
`
A while back we asked is Jameson Taillon Being Cyber Squatted? The confusion is cleared up. We thought it was Jameson Taillons’ website. It’s a collection of pictures of Taillon in various All-Star games including our favorite, the Under Armour All American game.
As you can read in the emails we sent to the owner of the site, JamesonTaillon.com is not owned by Jameson Taillon, but somebody who appears to be looking out for him.
“J.T.” mentions in the emails to us he will transfer the website to Taillon ‘at cost.’ That’s cool. Right?
~~~~~~~~
If you are not Jameson Taillon, who are you?
Is Jake Shields Ready To Face Georges St-Pierre?
Written by Josh Sanchez | October 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Cage Pages (MMA)
Newly-signed UFC welterweight Jake Shields met up with Martin Kampmann in his first bout in the organization. While Shields earned the win, he disappointed a lot of people—including himself.
“I was being stupid,” Shields said on “The Savage Dog Show” on the Sherdog Radio Network. “I misjudged some things. I misjudged the weight cut coming down. I made a lot of mistakes, but at least I learned from it with Martin before I fight for a title shot. Definitely I plan on learning from the mistakes and coming back a lot stronger.”
Entering the bout, UFC president Dana White had said that Shields was one win away from a title shot. However, after his [...]
Buffalo is 32nd in the NFL in rushing defense while the Chiefs come into the game first in the league in rushing offense. Kansas City is average 176.5 yards on the ground and the Bills are giving up 174.5 rushing yards per game on the season. RBs Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones combine for 950 of the Chiefs 1059 rushing yards. Between eight different rushers, the Bills only have 664 rushing yards for only one touchdown. The 2011 Jays Infield – Second Base and Aaron Hill
Written by Mat Germain | October 31, 2010 | Comments Off | Jays Journal (Blue Jays)
Although the first base situation for the Jays is not so clear cut, second base also presents its own challenges. I’m fairly certain we can conclude that Aaron Hill will be manning second base, this is not a real issue. The issue is whether or not the Jays should exercise their option to retain Aaron through the 2014 season, or simply take it year-by-year and hope that they can retain him at a cheaper rate than the $10,000,000 it would cost to use his option in 2014.
No matter what, Aaron Hill will only cost the Jays $5 million [...]
