It’s official. The dominoes are starting to fall as a result from the Robert Griffin III deal with the Washington Redskins yesterday. Today, it was announced that the Indianapolis Colts have agreed to a four-year deal with first-overall pick Andrew Luck. The deal is expected to be worth $22 million and include a $14.5 million signing bonus. It will also feature a team option for a fifth-year.

Luck’s deal will be very close to that of last year’s first-overall pick Cam Newton.

The news of Luck’s rookie deal signing was first reported by Colts beat writer Mike Chappell who took to twitter and wrote:

Luck’s rookie deal was expected to be agreed on in the next few days so it came as no real surprise, but it is welcomed news by the Colts faithful and it signals the start of the rebuilding process in Indianapolis. With Luck now under contract, he can fully participate in the Colts upcoming training camp.

Get excited, Colts fans. Your future starts now.
