LeBron James is at the top of the NBA world and he is currently helping to lead the Team USA basketball team on a dominating run through the 2012 London Olympics. While LeBron may be king on the court, he has had some major misses off the court in Olympic Village. Who would have guessed that LeBron’s dinner plans could send the internet into a frenzy?
Last night, they did just that. After USA swimmer Lauren Perdue tweeted out: ”Lebron James just invited me to dinner… Um wuuuutttt?!?” She then tweeted a picture with LeBron James and later deleted the tweets. Here is LeBron with the apple of his eye:

The 21-year-old swimmer did not give in to the king’s advances and turned down LeBron’s dinner request. The cited reason? Curfew. Of course, LeBron is a recently engaged man, so that could have people wondering what was going on with him asking a good-looking gal to dinner. According to Perdue, it was all a light-hearted, fun gesture.
“He was kind of joking but he was basically like, ‘Would you like to come eat with me at the dining hall?’ And I said, ‘Um, I’m sorry, I have a curfew. So I turned that one down, yeah,” Perdue said.
So despite the craziness that goes on between the athletes at Olympic Village, it seems like LeBron and Miss Lauren Perdue will not be the focus of any rumors.
