It has been anticipated for a number of time now but has finally become official. Former Florida State cornerback Greg Reid will be joining the Valdosta State football program. It was an offseason arrest that led to Reid’s dismissal from Florida State but his new landing spot is right in his back yard.
Reid is from Valdosta, Georgia — which is exactly where he was arrested.
Reid will instantly make his impact felt at the FCS level. It is a shame that Reid couldn’t be joined by Ray-Ray Armstrong and Tyrann Mathieu to find a dominate secondary that would be able to hang with anyone.
Reid will instantly become the best defensive back to graze the field at that level of competition.
