Running back Michael Dyer will be eligible to play the 2012 season after completing a transfer down to the FCS level. The former Auburn star and Arkansas State running back has decided to join Prairie View A&M. College football writer Seth Emerson passed along the news and note that Dyer will face off against another former SEC back:
Michael Dyer transferring to Prairie View A&M, which on Nov. 3 takes on Isaiah Crowell and Alabama State. (And who knows with T. Mathieu.)

Dyer was dismissed after an arrest for speeding and carrying marijuana and a gun in the car. Dyer will likely spend only one year at Prairie View A&M before declaring for the 2013 NFL Draft. Dyer needs a good season to show that his talent is worth taking a chance on at the next level despite his legal issues.
