The first Madden 13 TV commercial has been released and it features to professionals at the top of their game going at it in the latest release of EA Sports Madden franchise.
In one corner we have famed actor and funny-man Paul Rudd, from films such as Clueless (oh yeah, I’m going way back), I Love You Man and basically every single Judd Apatow flick.
In the other corner we have former Madden cover boy and future Hall of Famer, Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.
The commercial isn’t, nor is it that epic given it’s title being Epic Rivalry. But this looks like a snippet from a much longer piece that was filmed, a piece that is going to see other bits of it released as little commercials before a whole, say, five minute commercial is posted online.
Madden is entering it’s final week of promotion for the game, which is released August 28th. All month long the folks at EA have been hyping the game by releasing player ratings in increments as well as releasing a demo for the game a week ago. Player rating fan be found here at Fansided by clicking the Madden 13 tag and the demo is still available on XBox Live and the Playstation Network.
One thing the commercial does do is remind us of the epic rivalries we’ve had over the years with our friends and the Madden franchise. With the creation of online gaming almost a decade ago, the rivalry aspect of the game has been taken to new heights. Paul Rudd and Ray Lewis may, or may not have a true rivalry but a lot of Madden players do. So we ask you, what’s your best Madden rivalry moment?
