Floyd Mayweather is once again living up to his nickname and throwing around big dollar amounts. “Money” has put down a whopping $3 million on the biggest game of college football’s opening weekend — Alabama vs. Michigan. The game goes down at Texas Stadium and the Wolverines are 14-point underdogs.
Who did Mayweather put his money down on? The underdogs, of course.
That’s a lot of money to put on a game featuring college athletes where anything can happen but Floyd is an experienced gambler. He pays attention to the trends and makes what he considers to be smart bets. In this case, however, the odds are stacked against Mayweather.
According to the International Business Times, sixty-nine percent of bettors are saying “no thanks” to the two-touchdowns and taking the Crimson Tide to start off the season 1-0.
Mayweather better hope that Denard Robinson can work his magic.
In the meantime, I know what you are all thinking. Can we please get some football on the field! Yes, of course. The college football season kicks off tonight. As for the other question I am sure you all have — will Mayweather just fight Manny Pacquiao already? We can only hope.
