The Alabama Crimson Tide are your consensus number one team in college football thanks to the unveiling of the Top 25 Coaches Poll. Earlier in the day, the AP released their top 25 poll which had Alabama leapfrog the USC Trojans for the top spot. In the coaches poll, Alabama once again moved from the top spot to number one.

Alabama took advantage of a primetime beatdown of the Michigan Wolverines to take the top spot in both polls.

The previous number two team in the coaches poll, LSU, fell down to three. USC jumped up from third place to second. Just like in the AP poll, Oregon moved up to number four in the poll as Oklahoma slid to number five after their lackluster performance against UTEP.

Florida State, Georgia, West Virginia, South Carolina and Arkansas finished out the top ten. All 25 teams that begin the season in the top 25 of the coaches poll remain ranked — unlike the AP poll which had Boise State fall out of the rankings.
