Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub led the team to a 30-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday but that wasn’t the biggest win of his day. Immediately following the game, Schaub received a four-year contract extension from the Texans, G.M. Rick Smith announced.
Texans signed Matt Schaub to a 4 year, $62 million extension that includes $30 million in guaranteed money, as Houston’s FOX 26 reported.

Schaub finished the game against the Dolphins with 266 yards passing and a touchdown. The contract extension was the icing on the cake. Schaub started his career as a backup quarterback but he has proven to be a very reliable starter and has been rewarded with the cash.
Congrats to Matt Schaub on the win and for getting that money.
