Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco had one of the best performances of his career and has some people over reacting from his Monday Night performance. Flacco picked apart the Cincinnati Bengals defense from start to finish and routinely made perfect throws down the field to advance the ball.
When it was all said and done, the Ravens beat the Bengals 44-13. Flacco was lights out and had people proclaiming that he was suddenly a franchise quarterback. While some fans were more reasonable, the public support for Flacco surfaced even more.
One person who was also improved by Flacco was his head coach John Harbaugh.
“Pay him whatever he wants,” Harbaugh said after the Ravens shellacking of the Bengals. “Pay the man.”
“We’ve always stood up here, and we’ve always, all our coaches, the organization, we know what we’ve got in this guy,” Harbaugh added. “Of course he is [elite]. He is a winner. He is one of the toughest quarterbacks I have ever been around. He’s the best quarterback I’ve ever been around.”
Flacco finished the game completing 21-of-29 passes for 299 yards, two touchdowns and zero picks. If Flacco can continue to play at this level, the Ravens are set up to make a deep run in the playoffs.
