The Miami Hurricanes are having their way with Bethune-Cookman today, but that didn’t stop the no-name college’s backup quarterback from running all over The U.
Brodrick Waters ia actually listed as a wide receiver for Bethune-Cookman, but he’s been under center six times today and has even completed two passes. But his biggest play of the day came early in the second quarter on a roll-out option where he not only scrambled for 35 yards, he faked out just abut every member of the Hurricanes defense.
Other than this one fine play by Bethune-Cookman, the Hurricanes have pulled away with the game. It was close in the early stages and at the time of this run, Bethune-Cookman was tied with Miami, thus making the run look even more demoralizing and embarrassing than it already looks.
Waters has rushed for an additional 30 yards on five more rushes, but his 35 yard dash in between Hurricane defenders is without a doubt one of the top highlights of this third Saturday of the college football season, especially if you loathe the Hurricanes and love to relish in their being thoroughly embarrassed by a backup quarterback who made swiss cheese of their defense.
