Remember the Music City Miracle and how awesomely outrageous it was that the Titans were not only able to run a trick play on a kickoff but they scored a touchdown? Well they didn’t win a game this time, but they took a much needed and very surprising lead over the Detroit Lions by running a Music City Miracle style play on a punt and returned it for a touchdown.
The Lions clearly have taken a step back and they can’t use the escuse that they ran a trick play to make themselves feel any better. All the Lions have managed to muster up is two Jason Hanson field goals. That’d be fine if this was actually the Music City Miracle Titans team playing the 0-16 Lions team, but this is a team that wants to be a contender but they’ve looked like nothing but a pretender thus far.
Give the Titans credit though, they’re not laying down and they’re getting creative in the process. This is no doubt going to be a top highlight when Week 3 comes to it’s conclusion.
Matthew Stafford , Calvin Johnson and company were supposed to have a field day against this horrible Titans team and so far it’s been nothing but field goals and embarrassment for the Detroit Lions in Tennessee today.
