I just want to say that Bud Selig and the MLB umpires are so good at their jobs. They are really very good. I hope none of them ever quit or retire or get fired, because they are so good. And so competent. And professional. And the best. Just the best. I want you to imagine the most ideal commissioner and umpire combo. Close your eyes and craft from your subconscious the greatest MLB commissioner, overseeing the greatest umpires—that’s Bud Selig and the men currently calling Major League Baseball games. Top notch. The cream of the crop. The best of the best.

Bud Selig, what a guy! He looks over the league with such poise and respect for the players and fans alike. There’s really nothing bad I can say about him. Everyone is happy and everyone is making money and the product is entertaining and full of all sorts of integrity. It really is a utopia of sport, and Bud Selig is responsible and he deserves all the credit in the world for doing just an incredible job. Being a sports commissioner is a busy and complicated undertaking and Bug thrives both on the public stage and behind the scenes. He makes a very hard job look quite easy and I for one am proud of him.

And the umpires, the best! They are so consistent and professional when calling baseball games it’s like their not even there. Did robots take over when I wasn’t looking? Because if I didn’t know any better, I’d say such silent grace and impeccable accuracy was the result of a sophisticated computer program! The umpires handle themselves with a lot of class, even going so far as to utilize instant replay in order to aid on certain calls. That’s how you get technology to work for you! I’m just in awe of how often they make the correct call. These calls that usually come down to fractions of inches, happening in hyper-speed, with all the pressure in the world crashing down all over the place. The umpires get in proper position, read the play, and make the right call. It’s that simple and also very impressive and really the umpires are just great.

So that’s what I have to say about MLB Commisioner Bud Selig and the umpires that call and rule on baseball games. They are talented men who make baseball a wonderful sport and I couldn’t be happier that they’re in charge and I have no complaints whatsoever about any facet of their performances. Out of this world! Smooth operators! A+!
