Pop sensation Justin Bieber has been spotted around various NBA games but he will now have a larger involvement in the league. As 2K Sports continue their push to integrate celebrities into their NBA 2K13 video game franchise, Bieber will join the video games roster as playable characters on a celebrity team.
NBA 2K13 will feature a celebrity team as either a team during the “Play Now” mode of All-Star Weekend.
The full lineup for the celebrity squad includes Bieber, Mac Miller, Bow Wow, JB Smoove, Wale, Sean Kingston, Meek Mill, Brian Baumgartner and some some of America’s favorite — or least favorite — Guido’s Pauly D and Vinny from Jersey Shore.
2K Sports has also included celebrities as a part of the new Twitter feed which will be featured in the revamped MyCareer Mode.
A gameplay video has been released that shows some of the new career mode features that include the Twitter feed, endorsements and some very impressive video cuts for pre-game rituals and pre-game commentary. It really appears to kick the new MyCareer Mode up to the next level.
What do you think of the new and improved MyCareer Mode and involvment of the Celebrity Team in NBA 2K13? Will you be trying to hit the sticks with The Biebs or will you try to throw down a dunk in his face for the posterization?
