The Alabama Crimson Tide lost running back Dee Hart and wide receiver DeAndrew White for the 2012 season after the duo suffered injuries in the team’s 33-14 win over Ole Miss on Saturday. Alabama announced today that both players would undergo season ending surgery to repair their injured knees.
Hart played a back-up role for the Crimson Tide through the first five games of the season. He finishes with 88 yards through 21 carries. He also saw his freshman campaign come to an end with a knee injury.
White has two touchdowns on the year with eight catches and 105 yards.
Alabama goes into this weekend with a bye week and will use the extra time to find players to step up and fill the void left by the Hart and White injuries. When the Crimson Tide come back from their bye week, they will face off against the Missouri Tigers.
