Bellator women’s champion Zoila Gurgel has finally booked an opponent for her return fight at Bellator 78. Gurgel will be taking on 4-3 Casey Noland on Friday, October 26 from Dayton, Ohio. The event will air on MTV 2 and SpikeTV.com. Bellator 78 will be held inside the Nutter Center.
Noland, fights out of The Pit under the tutelage of renowned trainer John Hackleman. She is coming off of a loss to Strong Style Fight Team’s Jessica Eye. Gurgel is riding a six fight win streak but has not been inside the cage since defeating Karina Hallman on March 5th in 2011.
Gurgel was on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.
It was a long search to find Gurgel a replacement opponent. Multiple opponents backed out of an opportunity to face off against the women’s champion but Noland has finally stepped up for Bellator.
Look for Gurgel to come out and make a big statement in her return fight. “The Warrior Princess” has been anticipating her return for some time and will finally be able to unleash her skills.
