The San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals are ready to engage in a game seven in the National League Championship Series after the Giants took down the Cardinals 6-1 at AT&T Park last night.
While the Giants and Cardinals were center stage, it is the off-key rendition of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” that has people laughing about last night.
New Orleans native and apparent San Francisco Giants fan Lil Wayne took the field and led the crowd through the song during the seventh inning. The rapper left a lot to be desired from the musical experts but you can’t deny the spirit that Weezy brought to his rendition.
After the game, Lil Wayne expressed his excitement via Twitter:
Just sung “take me out to the ball game” @ the Giants game!!! A true life highlight! I thank San Fran for rokkin wit me!
Strangely enough, Lil Wayne actually has ties to the Giants. He is friends with fellow Louisiana native Ryan Theriot, who plays second base for San Francisco.
The Giants did get the win so maybe they should consider keeping Lil Wayne around if their season continues. Let’s hope for the sake of fans at the ballpark that the rapper never gets another chance to flex his golden pipes.
How did Lil Wayne do? Just watch the video below and judge for yourself.
