Two of the biggest stars in the NBA and NFL have teamed up to try and raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness, and they’re busting out razors to do so. Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love shaved his lovely lady locks off and called in his buddy, Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald to do the deed.
Love is currently recovering from a broken hand he suffered earlier this month, but he’s not letting that stop him from donating to a cause. Since coming tom Minnesota out of UCLA (via the Memphis Grizzlies on draft day), Love has been heavily involved in local Minnesota charity’s and has an annual “Kevin Love Wants Your Coats” coat drive in which he gets thousands of fans to donate their coats each year for charity.
Fitzgerald also has ties to the Minnesota area, having a charity in the area. Fitzgerald grew up in Minnesota and was the ball boy for the Minnesota Vikings back when he was a kid, so the pairing of these two characters for a charitable cause was a no-brainer.
In Love’s case, he might want to have a hat drive pretty soon, as he’s going to be awfully cold in the harsh Minnesota winter without any hair on his head. But it’s a small price the lovable goofball is willing to pay to raise awareness for a cause. The duo are donating money to Breast Cancer Awareness for every retweet and Facebook like the video and anything associated to the video gets.
