Not everyone loves LeBron James, it’s even been noted that terrorists hate LBJ. But they hate everything, so they don’t count and for those who hate James still, three seasons after leaving Cleveland, it’s the type of plays like the one James had against the Wizards that makes them sick.
James is perhaps going to have his best season of his career in 2013, he’s coming off literally leading the entire country during the 2012 London Olympics and is fresh off his first ever NBA title. He’s got a taste of what he was missing and he’s got a massive appetite for it now. He can also make people on opposing teams looks foolish, and his little ditty during a preseason game against the Washington Wizards was a prime example of that.
It wasn’t a massive slam dunk or a vicious ally-oop. Instead to was a trick play that ended in a foul, but still made people’s jaw’s drop. It was an art house play if you will, nothing with huge explosions, but still devastatingly satisfying.
James was covered by two Wizards defenders, and instead of going to the post, he simply took the ball, wrapped it around his back and threaded it between is legs, completely faking out the two defenders leaving them dazed and confused. James push hard for the basket but the play ended in a shooting foul just under the rim.
But this is what James does, he beats you and make you look like a 12-year old in a pickup game in the process. Love him or hate him, LeBron James is a hoot to watch, unless you’re on the same court as he is wearing different colors.
