Less than one week since suffering a devastating and potentially career-threatening knee injury, South Carolina Gamecocks star running back Marcus Lattimore has been spotted in good spirits.
A message was passed along from Safran’s Antiques and The Gamecock Shop, an antique store in Columbia, South Carolina, that Lattimore is doing well and handling his situation very well. Here is the message they passed along:
We stopped by and visited with Marcus Lattimore today and found him to be in very good spirits. Marcus wants everyone to know that he has received so many of your cards, letters and other messages and appreciates them greatly.
It is great to see the young man doing well. After suffering such a gruesome injury and realizing your season is over and your career is on the ropes, it would be easy to get down and you wouldn’t be able to fault him for that. Thankfully, Lattimore is staying strong and showing the type of perseverance that will carry him through this and allow him to fully recover.
Here it is, the image of Lattimore from the visit showing off his smile and showing that he is doing well:
Keep smiling, Marcus! We are all rooting for you! I am sure your support system is helping you pull through this and the type of great gestures — like this one from LSU defensive lineman and good friend Sam Montgomery — are helping you every step of the way.
