One of the most highly anticipated games of the weekend takes place on Saturday night when a big time rivalry in college football is renewed. It’s not the “Game of the Century” that last year’s Alabama-LSU game was touted as, nor will it be like the National Championship. But every time the Tigers and Tide get together, it’s more than worth a watch.

As part of the hype building coverage of the game, ESPN invited on a blogger here at Fansided.com to go toe-to-toe with one of it’s own writers. Our very own Tony Breland from BamaHammer.com went blow-for-blow, point-by-point against ESPN’s Gary Laney from GeauxTigerNation.com to preview this weekends epic matchup between No. 1 Alabama and No. 5 LSU.

The “Blogger Throwdown” aired as a segment on ESPN’s new college network ESPN UNITE, formerly ESPN U. Listen and watch as our guy Breland talks about A.J. McCarron’s steak of games without an interception, Alabama’s chances against the Tigers right down to how Nick Saban and Les Miles matchup from a coaching standpoint.

And at the very least, it’s great to see Tony get some recognition for his outstanding work over at BamaHammer.com, which if you haven’t visited ahead of this huge weekend for Tide football, you need to.

You’ve heard the expert bloggers give their opinions, but what’s yours? Is Alabama really the better team, or will we see LSU destroy the title hopes of their SEC rivals?
