Ndamukong Suh hasn’t been in the public eye as much this season since the Lions are just a mess of a football team, but that doesn’t mean his fellow players have forgotten about him — or how he plays. When voting for the who the dirtiest player in the game today is, the answer was resounding for a second straight year.
Detroit’s Ndamukong Suh was named the dirtiest player in the NFL by a jury of his peers.
While he hasn’t stomped on anyone’s arm yet (we’re not to Thanksgiving yet so don’t give up hope), but he did avoid a fine earlier this year when he body slammed Jay Cutler on Monday Night football. Players agree he’s not as wild this year but they still don’t like him.
“Suh. He hasn’t done anything crazy (this year).” said an anonymous NFL defensive player when asked who the dirtiest payer is. “The type of hits he puts on quarterbacks, the way he finishes guys — some of them are legal, but a lot of them, I’d say, are over the top.”
Being voted the dirtiest player in the NFL marks the second time this season that Suh has topped a list letting him know not a whole lot of people in the NFL like him. Earlier this year fans voted Suh the least likable player in the NFL in two separate polls, a Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research poll.
Suh beat out other unlikable candidates such as Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan and Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito. The Lions haven’t won much this year, but at least their still staying relevant — but for all the wrong reasons.
