If you have Julio Jones:

  • Justin Blackmon (owned in 44.6 percent of leagues)
  • T.Y. Hilton (owned in 3.3 percent of leagues)
  • Golden Tate (owned in 8.8 percent of leagues)
  • Brandon Stokley (owned in 12.3 percent of leagues)

If you need a wide receiver or a flex option, you have some balls to bounce here. Justin Blackmon is a hot name right now but start him with extreme caution. He had just over 200 yards up until last week, so don’t read too much into his huge game. Instead, read up on T.Y. Hilton who has 70 fantasy points this year, however 41 of those have come in the last three weeks.

So if you want to go with a ‘hot hand’ kind of guy that’s heating up right now, go with Hilton who’s got a much better quarterback situation and a better offense. Golden Tate is a guy closer to Blackmon as he’s amounted 31 points in the last two weeks, but has a bi-polar Russell Wilson throwing to him in a fluctuating Seahawks offense.

The most surprisingly consistent guy of them all is Broncos receiver Brandon Stokley, but we should have seen this coming. Peyton Manning loved throwing to Stokley in Indianapolis and he was a familiar face when Manning came to Denver. He’s gone cold some weeks, but he’s never been shut out of points this season, and late in your playoff push every point counts. In the last two weeks Stokley has posted 22 points, and it seems Manning loves to look his way multiple times a game, a lot of the times in the endzone. Receivers aren’t known for piling up points but if you need a stop-gap guy you can lean on these hot hands but do so with knowing what you’re getting.
