Whether it be college football of the National Football League, we are at a time where head coaching rumors are at an all-time high. One of those coaches involved in a majority of the big rumors is none other than Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly.
In one of the biggest rumors to date, there is word circling that Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman flew out to the University of Oregon to meet with Kelly.
“I’ve heard talk about (Eagles GM) Howie Roseman already meeting with (Oregon head coach) Chip Kelly,” said one source for a Pro Football Weekly article featuring comments from NFL personnel members. “Obviously, there are no rules preventing a GM from talking to a college coach during a (school) visit.”
Of course, it is very important to remember that these are just rumors.
Would Roseman really fly out to Oregon to meet with Chip Kelly if Andy Reid is still the head coach? You never know.
One thing is for sure — the Philadelphia Eagles appear to be moving on from Andy Reid next season and the team will be looking to make a major splash when they hire their next head coach. Whether or not they can sway Kelly to leave the Ducks program for the NFL, his name will be linked to a number of NFL head coaching vacancies.
