The betting favorite to become the next head coach at Auburn is former Arkansas Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino who had a controversial falling out with the university. The odds for Petrino to become the next Tigers head coach currently stand at 7/4.

Arkansas State head coach Gus Malzahn is second on the list at 13/4, while Clemson Tigers offensive coordinator Chad Morris is a hot name with 15/4 odds.

Sonny Dykes, who currently coaches Louisiana Tech but interviewed with the North Carolina State Wolfpack on Thursday morning, is fourth in the betting odds at 5/1, while TCU’s Gary Patterson and Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart round out the list at 21/4 and 11/2 respectively.

The betting odds confirm what we have learned through the coaching rumors — Bobby Petrino is the leading candidate to take over in Auburn. If everything goes according to plan, Sir Charles could be getting his wish.
