This article is stated wrong! If Tressel was hired the bowl ban would not be on the University, it would be on Tressel coaching the bowl game. The penalty is not really that strong to deter a team to hire and his major infraction was allowing his guys to get free tattoos. The lying to NCAA was over played though I will not deny that he did what any coach has done and not been a complete open book. He would be a good fit for UT and if we did have a mass exodus of our offense, he would be a great person to bring in a strong recruiting class to fill the holes. The first 5 weeks would be tough, but with how our schedule starts next year we could easily be 4-1 or 3-2 with Chaney at the helm if he is still there. Time will tell the truth!!

Desperate is Tennessee if they hire Jim Tressel. I would not hire him. Integrity issues for sure.

Tressel is not a good pick. There is no guarantee he would only have to miss the meetings, practices and get the 1 year bowl ban. The show cause order against him allows the NCAA to add additional penalties. The idea of that order is to make it hard for him to get a head coaching job. And would you really want a coach that lied, cheated and tried to cover it up! Isn’t Tennessee getting enough of that still from the Lame Kitten era?

Why would you hire Mullen? The guy has NEVER beat a team in the SEC with a winning record in the last 3 years!! Unless Tn. wants more of the same they best look elsewere!! Leave Mullet at Ms. State! They deserve each other!

It would not be too bad for Trussle to come to TN. That would open up the recruiting for the Vols. But my personal pick would be Jimbo Fisher, With what he done a FSU that could be interesting for Vol Nation don’t you think? This is coming from a DAWGS FAN!!!! GO DAWGS!!!!!!
