Miami Heat star LeBron James was public enemy number one among NBA fans when he left the Cleveland Cavaliers for South Beach, but “King” James is finally getting the recognition he deserves for being one of the greatest athletes in the world.
Sports Illustrated has named LeBron James their 58th annual Sports of the Year.
It was incredible year for James. Not only did he finally win the elusive first NBA title, but he wont NBA MVP and NBA Finals MVP during the Heat’s impressive run.
To cap off the incredible year for James, he helped lead Team USA to the gold medal in basketball at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
It is safe to say that James has moved far beyond his low moment when he made “The Decision” on national television. James is finally beginning to break through in the big games and add trophy after trophy to his hardware case as he continues to move forward on his journey to become the greatest basketball player to ever live.
