Over the summer, the Auburn Tigers landed five-star linebacker recruit Rueben Foster after they convinced him to change his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Foster was so excited to make his verbal commitment to the Auburn football program that he made a decision to have the Auburn logo tattooed on his arm.
Now, a few months later, Foster has decomitted from the Auburn program. Whoops!
To be fair, Foster did say Auburn was still in the mix, but he seems less than thrilled over the coaching hire of Gus Malzahn, who has released the entire coaching staff from Gene Chizik’s time in Auburn. The important name on the staff to Foster was wide receivers coach Trooper Taylor, who was the man responsible for recruiting Foster to Auburn.
“If Trooper Taylor stays at Auburn, I am all in. If he goes, I will see where he goes too,”Foster told ESPN. “I just need to see where he ends up. If he goes to another school, I will go there. Hopefully that school will want me too because I would love to follow him.”
With the initial excitement Foster had to make his commitment to Auburn, you have to believe that the coaching staff still has a chance to reel in the five-star recruit. If not, Foster will be sporting the Auburn logo on a new campus in the near future.
