Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson became the latest professional athlete to honor the victims of the tragic Sand Hook Elementary School shooting over the weekend. Many NFL teams wore decals on their helmets to honor the victims, while numerous athletes around the sports world showed their support by writing messages on the equipment.

On Monday Night Football, Johnson showed off his cleats that had the name of ever victim from the horrifying event in Newtown, Connecticut.

It was an amazing tribute and one that deserves the recognition from the national media. Here are Johnson’s cleats from Monday night:

Kudos to Johnson for taking the time to personally recognize ever victim and family that was affected by the tragedy. It allows them to know that everyone around the nation is still thinking about them, and we truly are.

I don’t think Americans will ever forget the horrible events that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary. It was one of the saddest moments in our nation’s history.
