Nick Saban Thinks Speculation Of His Return To NFL Is 'Funny'

The rumors of Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban are starting to get out of hand, especially when you consider how adamant the ‘Bama coach has been that he will be returning to Tuscaloosa next season. At this point, the rumors linking Saban to the Cleveland Browns continued to the point that Saban finds any speculation of him returning to the NFL humorous.

“We’re really, really pleased and happy to be here,” he said. “We’ve been able to accomplish a lot. But like I’ve talked about before, this is a work in progress all the time. You’ve got to stay focused on the process to try to continue to make the next game the most important game, the next season the most important season, developing the team every year.

“We certainly look forward to those challenges.”

Saban has said over and over again that he is happy at Alabama, so he is not quite sure why anyone believes he would leave for the NFL.

“This is what we’re happy doing,” Saban said. “This is what we like to do. But nobody really believes that. So, you know, maybe it doesn’t matter.

“I don’t know what I have to say or do, but it’s kind of funny to me.

“Plus y’all asked the wrong person. Miss Terry makes all the decisions about all this stuff anyway.”

I think it is time that we put an end to the ‘Saban to the NFL’ rumors. Saban has stated over and over that he will not be leaving Alabama and he seems more convincing than ever.
