Maurice Jones-Drew Will Be Sidelined Until Late May, Early June Following Surgery

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew’s wasted season has gotten even worse. Jones-Drew was placed on the team’s injured reserve list and the move was made for good reason.

Jones-Drew will undergo surgery. Recovery for the surgery will keep the star running back out of action until late May or early June, per reports.

The Jaguars sent Jones-Drew to Charlotte for evaluation by Dr. Bob Anderson after the running back complained of soreness after attempting to run on Monday.

Jones-Drew has made it very public that he is unhappy with his current contract, and the fact that he is now set to miss most of the team’s offseason workouts could be the move that pulls the trigger on his departure from Jacksonville.
