New York Jets punt protector Tim Tebow was soaking in his alma mater’s performance in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Wednesday night in New Orleans, when he was spotted on the sideline during the game. It is natural for Tebow to attract the media attention and camera time, so his initial appearance was nothing out of the ordinary.
It didn’t start to get weird until the cameras stayed on Tebow and we got to see him chumming it up with ESPN reporter Tom Rinaldi.
Perhaps Rinaldi was just trying to get the latest scoop for endless offseason coverage of where Tebow could wind up next season or maybe, just maybe, Rinaldi was genuinely interested in his quality time with good ole Timmy boy. Whatever it was, that moment captured on tape was spectacular.
As you would expect from the interwebs, some jokester has taken video of the clip and added a soundtrack — none other than “Endless Love” — which was clearly not the theme song for Tebow and Rex Ryan’s relationship this season.
Man, bravo to the man who put this together. It is simple, yet hilarious. Enjoy this touching moment between Tebow and Rinaldi on the sidelines:
In all seriousness, Tebow seems like a great guy. Every indication is that he is a genuinely good dude, but that won’t stop us from enjoying the comic gold he presents us with on what seems to be a daily basis.
