There is some bad news for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Star forward Kevin Love underwent an MRI on his right hand that revealed he fractured the third metacarpal in his hand. It is the second setback with his hand this season.

“Kevin is a huge part of what we want to do,” Timberwolves head coach Rick Adelman said. “Now we’re going to have to find another way to do it.”

“This team has resolve… Guys come to practice and games and do their jobs. I believe in this team. I’ve seen us come back from adversity time after time.”

Love initially fractured his hand in mid-October during during a team workout.

He will need to travel to New York City to have his injured hand examined by Dr. Andy Weiland.

In Love’s absence, Dante Cunningham will get his 2nd start of the season.
