Philadelphia Eagles Flying To Arizona To Interview Chip Kelly Saturday

When it comes to the NFL head coaching searches sweeping the league, Oregon Ducks head coach Chip Kelly is the belle of the ball.

It was reported yesterday that Kelly was close to a deal that would make him the next coach of the Browns but Kelly left his interview with Cleveland without every agreeing to a deal. Now, he has another interview lined up.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles will be flying to Arizona to interview Kelly.

It was known that the Eagles were interested in making Kelly their next coach as soon as rumors began to swirl that Philadelphia could be parting ways with Andy Reid. Reid was fired and has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, so the void is now there for Kelly to fill.

During the season, the Eagles management even went as far as to fly out to the University of Oregon campus to meet with Kelly.

The Eagles are hoping to bring in an offensive genius and Kelly would fit the mold.

Perhaps even more important to the Eagles would be Kelly’s ability to build a program. Philadelphia needs to start from the ground up and Kelly is a great engineer that could lay out the blueprint for the Eagles return to the top.
