LSU Tigers Lose Another Underclassmen; RB Michael Ford Enters 2013 NFL Draft

It just keeps getting worse for the LSU Tigers. Junior running back Michael Ford is following in the steps of fellow rusher Spencer Ware and declaring for the 2013 NFL Draft.

I gave all my talents to LSU. I feels there is a higher ceiling out there for me,” Ford said, per ESPN’s Joe Schad. “I have speed, I can catch, I can block and I can run through tackles. All the guys going pro? Our dream is to make it to the NFL.”

This news brings the total number of LSU underclassmen declaring for the draft up to ten.

During the 2012 season, Ford rushed the ball 71 times for 392 yards and three touchdowns. During his career at LSU, Ford has racked up 1,416 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.

Ford is currently projected to be a mid-round selection, but he hopes to improve on the fourth to sixth-round range.
