Stanford Cardinal tight end Zach Ertz has become the latest underclassmen to enter the 2013 NFL Draft, according to ESPN’s Joe Schad. . Ertz is the top tight end prospect in the 2013 draft class and is viewed as a potential first-round pick.
The 6-foot-6 , 252-pound tight end hauled in 69 catches for 898 yards and six touchdowns in 2012.
He was voted a consensus All-American for his efforts this year.
Ertz picked up this season where Coby Fleener left off in 2011. Fleener eventually went on to be a second-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts and was paired with his college quarterback Andrew Luck. Ertz should be the first tight end off the board in the 2013 NFL Draft.
