Finalists for the 2020 Summer Olympics have submitted their paperwork and official bids to host the games, so now we will have to wait and see which lucky city and nation gets to host the games. The bids include figures from expenses to budgets to venues for the potential events.

The three finalists to host the 2020 Olympics are Tokyo, Japan, Madrid, Spain and Istanbul, Turkey.

Madrid was the runner-up to host the 2016 games, so there is belief that they could be the favorites to win the 2020 bid. Tokyo is a finalist for the second straight summer games bid, while Istanbul has come up empty in every previous attempt.

The bids will be sorted out at IOC headquarters in Switzerland and the potential sights will be visited by the IOC over the summer, before a vote is held. The vote will take place in Buenos Aires in September.

Which host site would you like to see win the bid for the 2020 games? If it is any of the finalists other than Madrid, it would be considered an upset.
