Georgia Bulldogs nose tackle Kwame Geahers has announced his intentions to enter the 2013 NFL Draft. Per Gentry Estes of 247Sports.com, Geathers has already informed the Georgia coaching staff that he will forgo his final year of eligibility and head for the NFL.
“I’m going to go ahead and leave,” the 6-foot-6, 355-pound Geathers told Estes. “I felt like I was ready to go. I think I did everything at Georgia that I wanted to do. I felt like it was time to get a jump on the next step in my career.”
He immediately jumped onto the scene as a freshman at Georgia, when he was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team in 2010. He has played in 34 games over the past three seasons. His size is sure to catch the eyes of NFL scouts.
Geathers becomes the third Bulldogs defender to enter the NFL Draft joining linebackers Jarvis Jones and Alec Ogletree.
