It has been a horrendous start to the season for the Los Angeles Lakers. Not only do they already have injuries to their two star big men Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard, but now hey have lost another big body in their front court.

Reserve big man Jordan Hill will miss the remainder of he season, according to the Lakers.

Hill learned that he will need hip surgery after meeting with a hip specialist and the team doctor. It is possible that Hill has a labral tear and the surgery will be used to clean out the loose fragments floating around his hip. The injury makes it hard for Hill to move around and the surgery is his only answer.

This is just the latest blow to the Lakers as they continue to figure out how to get their season back on track.
