Fighter salaries for Saturday’s “Strikeforce: Marquardt vs. Saffiedine” event were released on Monday by the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission. The event took place on January 12 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It was the final event in Strikeforce history.
In the Strikeforce finale, welterweight challenger Tarec Saffiedine made the most of his opportunity and closed out the night becoming the promotion’s final welterweight champion by defeating UFC veteran Nate Marquardt.
Also on the main card were dominant performances by heavyweights Daniel Cormier and Josh Barnett, along with future light-heavyweight contender Gegard Mousasi.
