UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones will defend his tile in New Jersey on April 27 against challenger Chael Sonnen. Many believe that Sonnen talked his way in to the fight, but his elite wrestling creates an interesting matchup with the champ.

While Sonnen is considered a big underdog heading in to the fight, there are some of his supporters that believe he has a real shot to upset Jones. One fellow UFC fighter, Brazilian legend Wanderlei Silva, is no among those that believe Sonnen has a shot. In fact, Silva believes that Jones will be able to defeat the challenger with ease.

“Whatever the boss [UFC President Dana White] says, I sign underneath. If he thinks this fight is fair, then I think he’s absolutely right,” Silva said, per an exclusive interview with PVT via Sherdog.com. “It was a fight I wanted to see… Jones will swallow Sonnen. I spoke with Jones and told him that he can win the fight only with jabs, with one hand tied behind his back. The only person who can beat Jones today is Anderson.”

“Jones talked to me about Anderson, but I cannot say what, obviously.”

A potential Silva vs. Jones superfight is something that mixed martial arts dream of. The fact that Jones talked to Wanderlei Silva about the middleweight champion and pound-for-pound king could be a sign that he is considering accepting the bout.

At least we can hope.

If Jones is able to steamroll Sonnen like Wanderlei predicted, the whispers for the potential Silva-Jones superfight will only get louder. And if the fight ever happens, we will get to see whether Wanderlei was right on his assessment that Anderson will be the man to take down Jon Jones.
