Team USA midfielder Maurice Edu is looking for playing time and he was not able to find that during his time with Stoke City, but it looks like he will be getting that opportunity in Turkey. After passing a physical at Acibadem Bursa Hospital outside of Istanbul, Edu’s transfer to Turkish club Bursaspor has been finalized.

Edu was hoping for playing time so he can establish himself as one of the best midfielder options for Team USA. He will now get that chance.

U.S. teammate Jozy Altidore, who currently plays for AZ Alkmaar in he Netherlands, tweeted his congratulations to Edu:

Bursaspor is not the top-ranked team in Turkey, nor do they have the following of a team like Fenerbahçe or Galatasaray, but they currently sit in sixth-place in the 18-team Turkish division.
